Advantages-

There are many benefits of village life. First, life in a village is easy and pure. The needs of the

villagers are limited. They usually manage to live within their resources. Eggs, milk, vegetables, and butter are their common diet. Their diet is pure though it is simple. Their dress, food, customs, and manners are simple but decent. Second, the villagers do not know the evils of city life. They are sincere and honest. They know no selfishness. Sometimes they do involve in small quarrels but generally, they settle these quarrels through peaceful talks and meetings. The golden tradition of the villagers is that they love their customs and traditions. These customs are lovely and harmless. They are simple, innocent, kind, and hospitable. They feel pride in observing their customs. They love all and hate none. They respect and help one another. Though the advantages of village life are many, there are also some disadvantages of this life.

Disadvantages-

Its big disadvantage is that it lacks modern facilities. The hospital and educational facilities are limited in the village. Therefore, they have to come to the city to fulfill their educational and medical needs. Now the states are taking steps to introduce these facilities into the villages also. The chances of education are rare in the villages. Most of the people in villages are Ignorant Owing to the lack of education, people do not know how to solve their problems There are two reasons for their ignorance First, they are not interested in education. Second, proper educational facilities are not available in the villages. As there is no competition in village life, they are contented with their lot. They do not struggle to attain the best. They do not have high ambitions Their only interest is how to increase their productivity.

Conclusion-

It is a fact that the villagers are playing a very important role in the progress of the country. A large portion of our population lives in villages. The government should take steps to educate them The state should provide them with the facilities of the cities. Schools, colleges, and hospitals should be opened in the villages. New roads should be made to link the villages with the main cities. If these steps are taken the villagers would play their role more effectively in the development of the country.
